The watchword of the main hall is flexibility. It can seat up to 1250 people (cinema-style), accommodate up to 850 people for a dance, accommodate up to 500 conference delegates at tables, or seat up to 500 guests at a special function e.g. a wedding. The use of removable drapes and canopy, and their substitution with netting, means that the main hall can be quickly converted into an all-year-round indoor sporting facility. Popular sports include football, badminton (3 courts), bowls.
