Grand Victorian architecture is the legacy of the wealthy Glasgow barons (tobacco, sugar, whisky, cotton, etc) who had their holiday homes on Bute in the late 1800s. These homes are in Craigmore along Crichton Road. Most of these homes in this area command unrivalled panoramic sea views.
