Rothesay Academy Library given special Council award - Webmaster @ 11:39 GMT

A video-conferencing project initiated by Rothesay Academy Library, and involving seven Argyll and Bute high schools where pupils were participating in the Carnegie ‘shadowing’ programme, has received special recognition in the Internal Council Awards Scheme promoted by the Argyll and Bute Council. In a special school assembly, Rothesay Academy’s Librarian received a special plaque in recognition of initiating the video-conferencing project which, for two successive years, has enabled pupils from the participating schools to share their thoughts in a joint discussion forum. Also at the assembly, participating Academy pupils received certificates acknowledging their having read all six of the books on the short list for the annual Carnegie Medal Book Award.
