Funding for a year-long activity-based programme, conducted by an outdoor education specialist, has been provided by Argyll and Bute Council’s Fusions (Fuller Services in our Communities and Schools) programme. - Webmaster @ 22:09 GMTProgress with the completion of Isle of Bute’s new 450-passenger/60-car ferry MV Bute is proceeding a-pace, as the upper two decks are placed on top of the hull and main superstructure, and the vessel's funnels are also put in place. Things are still on track for the 24th June naming ceremony in Rothesay. See the weekly visual progress report on the vessel.

- Webmaster @ 00:29 GMTMOUNT STUART TO OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK THIS SUMMER For the first time since it opened to the public in 1995, Mount Stuart, a masterpiece of Victorian Gothic architecture and one of the Isle of Bute’s premier visitor attractions, will be opening every day during this coming summer.
Bute Fabrics, based in Rothesay, Isle of Bute, has been commissioned to create a variety of bespoke fabric designs for the Welsh Millennium Centre in Cardiff, and will also be exhibiting for the first time at 100% Design Moscow later this month.
