Rothesay named by Holiday Which among Britain’s top ten coastal resorts - Webmaster @ 09:40 GMT

Holiday Which has named Rothesay as the top coastal resort in Scotland, and the 9th best in the whole of Britain. Mount Stuart, Ettrick, Scalpsie and Kilchattan Bays, and the paddle steamer Waverley feature as key attractions, with Rothesay Castle and Bute Museum being good places to visit especially if the weather is unpleasant.

Luxury cruise ship makes its first visit to Rothesay - Webmaster @ 09:39 GMT

The Lord of the Glens luxury cruise ship has paid an afternoon-long visit to Rothesay as part of an extensive tour from Inverness to Greenock, calling in at many harbours en route. The vessel was extensively rebuilt in 2000 to enable her to sail on both the Caledonian Canal and the open sea.

Fine weather again favours the Isle of Bute Jazz Festival - Webmaster @ 11:41 GMT

The tradition of fine weather for the Annual Isle of Bute Jazz Festival was continued this past long weekend as crowds of visitors and local jazz fans moved from venue to venue on the island enjoying the huge selection of top performers who came to Bute to participate in this year’s event.
