Friday, July 01, 2005Message from HRH Prince Charles to the people of Bute on 60th Anniversary of V-Day - Webmaster @ 10:04 GMTHRH Prince Charles, who takes the title of Duke of Rothesay when in Scotland, wrote a message of support to the island which was read out on Sunday morning, during a special ecumenical service at Trinity Parish Church as part of the Isle of Bute’s weekend of V-Day commemorations. The message and citation were read out by Kenneth MacKinnon, Lord-Lieutenant for Argyll and Bute, who is the Queen’s representative in the area, and who attended the service along with several other dignitaries. |
